The 8th Annual CRUK Oxford Centre Symposium was held on 28th June 2019 at the Saïd Business School, Oxford. The day consisted of a varied programme of presentations, ranging from cancer big data to cancer immune responses, and ended with a keynote talk from Prof. Tak Mak from the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto. Ludwig Oxford’s Philip Macklin from Peter Ratcliffe’s group presented a joint talk with Joshua Bell (Mathematical Institute) on the development and validation of a digital pathology pipeline to better characterise the spatial distribution of immune cell infiltrates in cancer.

- Novel approaches to data analysis
- Hihg quality pathology input"

In addition to the talks, the breadth of cancer research at Oxford was showcased by 49 poster presentations. These included posters from Ludwig Oxford researchers Paolo Spingardi and Ashvina Segaran (Kriaucionis lab), Yurena Vivas Garcia and Pakavarin Louphrasitthiphol (Goding lab) and Ivy Xiong (Bond lab).
