We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Laboratory Technician to join Dr Chunxiao Song’s research group which aims to decode epigenetic information to learn about the basis of human health and disease and to facilitate translation of this information into diagnostic and therapeutic opportunities that ultimately benefit patients.
As the Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for processing samples, monitor results to spot discrepancies, propose refinements and re-run experiments where necessary. You will also maintain a database, run reports, interpret results and write up experimental results which would contribute to sections (methodology, tables) of publications.
You will have a first degree together with some experience with molecular biology or biochemistry techniques. You will also have the ability to troubleshoot problems with experiments and arrive at an appropriate solution. You will be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle precious clinical samples such as human blood.
This post is offered full-time on a fixed term contract for 2 years, and is funded by Ludwig Core Award.
