RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am a cancer immunologist with a strong interest in T cell biology. I joined Xin Lu's lab in October 2021 to investigate the role of viral/cancer cross-reactive T cells in oesophageal cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors, using single cell sequencing approaches, and TCR screenings.

BACKGROUND

In my previous post-doc with Vincenzo Cerundolo at the MRC Human Immunology Unit in Oxford, I studied tumour-specific T cell responses against ovarian cancer and glioblastoma. During my PhD with Dan Pennington and Bruno Silva-Santos at the Queen Mary University of London and University of Lisbon, I discovered a pro-tumour role of gamma delta T cells in a mouse model of ovarian cancer.
