Research Interests
I study "oncohistones", histone mutations often found in rare childhood cancers. I am interested in how histone modifications help to organize and annotate our genome, and how this is disrupted in human diseases. Through genome-wide screens in the model organism C. elegans, I hope to discover new and conserved ways to suppress oncohistone phenotypes.
Background
I received my BSc in Immunology at the University of Toronto in 2011, and my PhD from Yale University in 2017, where I studied microRNA biogenesis and RNA processing under the mentorship of Dr Frank Slack.
Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing basketball, badminton and board games.
