Parinaz shared insights into her career during the Science Oxford event recognising outstanding Year 13 STEM students in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire

Each year, Year 13 students from across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire are nominated for their excellence in the categories of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology and are formally celebrated at an event coordinated by Science Oxford.

This year’s event, supported by the Nuffield Department of Medicine, the Science and Technology Facilities Council, UK Research and Innovation and Bentley Motors, took place on 16th November and featured Ludwig Oxford’s Dr Parinaz Mehdipour as a guest speaker.

Parinaz discussed the challenges of embarking on a career in STEM but said that students should not be discouraged from following their passions and skills.

The event is a highlight in the broader Science Oxford STEM Careers Programme, which aims to create opportunities for students to learn more, gain insight and inspire them to enter STEM careers.
