We are seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to assist Professor Yang Shi and other senior Ludwig Professors at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research for the Nuffield Department of Medicine.

You will be responsible for managing the diary of Professor Yang Shi and assisting with the diaries of other senior Professors when required. You will act as a first point of contact to visitors, and also corresponding via post, email and telephone. You will arrange meetings and prepare papers, agendas, minutes and briefing notes. Other responsibilities include providing administrative support on financial matters, making travel arrangements both nationally and internationally and keeping records in a filing system.

It is essential that you are educated to A-Level standard, with experience of diary management in a similar role, including making complex travel arrangements. You will be proficient in typing with the ability to draft correspondence and to produce well-presented reports. It is essential you have excellent computer skills including email, Word, Excel and the internet. Having a high standard of numeracy skills is essential, as is experience working on confidential matters with tact and discretion. You will have the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
