We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.

You will participate in the Ludwig Cancer Research funded research programme led by Prof Skirmantas Kriaucionis, Prof Benjamin Schuster-Böckler, Prof Chunxiao Song, and Prof Xin Lu, and provide statistical analysis plans for studies while contributing to the overall planning of studies. You will be responsible for advising laboratory and other bio-statistical staff working on relevant projects and assisting others in their work where appropriate. You will conduct detailed analysis of datasets, as well as develop and tailor methodologies for analysis and data collection in collaboration with members of the research team. You will also contribute to manuscripts, presentations, and other means of disseminating results and attend scientific seminars, meetings and training as appropriate while contributing ideas and communicating effectively with database experts and scientific programmers.

It is essential that you hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computing, Mathematical Biology or a related subject. You will be able to demonstrate experience, ability and practical success in biostatistics or bioinformatics. You will have proficiency in the use of statistical programming languages and high-performance computing. You will be someone with a demonstrable ability to organise and prioritise work efficiently whilst delivering results to the required standard and to an agreed schedule.
