We are seeking to appoint a Research Integrity Manager to join the Ludwig Cancer Research Oxford Branch, in the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
You will have a key role in maintaining scientific integrity in our published research, including managing the archiving of original datasets supporting publications and carefully checking all original and processed data against the publication figures. You will assist in developing policies, SOPs and a training programme to maintain high standards of research integrity, scientific record-keeping and good data management in the Branch, in furtherance of existing University and Departmental guidance and policy. You will be responsible for recording and arranging MTA/DTA agreements, liaising with Branch Administrator, Research Services and Ludwig New York where required.
It is essential that you hold a PhD (or close to completion) in a relevant life sciences field, along with experience in preparing scientific research papers. A strong understanding of good research practice and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, especially with respect to scientific data, is also required. You will have a systematic, thorough, and well-organised approach to work, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact equally effectively with senior academic staff, researchers and support staff within the University and the Ludwig Institute.
This position is offered full time / part time considered (26.25 hours/ 70% FTE) on a fixed term contract for 3 years in first instance and is funded by Ludwig.
