We are seeking to appoint a Research Integrity Manager to join the Ludwig Cancer Research Oxford Branch, in the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
You will be responsible for ensuring that original and processed data corresponding to all published work from the Branch are carefully checked against the publication figures and archived according to policy, providing support to research groups to ensure compliance with data archiving policies. You will assist in developing policies, SOPs and a training programme to embed data management and archiving good practice in the Branch, in furtherance of existing University Information Security guidance and policy.
This would be an ideal first step for a post-doctoral researcher or equivalent wishing to pursue a career in research administration. There will be training and opportunities to further enhance your existing strengths in data management and to explore best practice in research integrity. We strongly encourage career development within the branch, and you will be encouraged to actively contribute to branch strategy alongside faculty and senior staff members.
It is essential that you hold a PhD (or close to completion) in a relevant life sciences field, along with experience in preparing scientific research papers. A strong understanding of good research practiced and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, especially with respect to scientific data, is also required. You will have a systematic, thorough, and well-organised approach to work, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact equally effectively with senior academic staff, researchers and support staff within the University and the Ludwig Institute.
This position is offered full time / part time considered (26.25 hours/ 70% FTE) on a fixed term contract for 3 years in first instance and is funded by Ludwig.
