research interests

As a visiting placement student at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, I am currently undertaking a year long research experience as part of my undergraduate degree. During this time, I am a member of the Medhipour group, which specialises in epigenetics and epitranscriptomics and their role in cancer biology.

Throughout this year, I will receive training in various laboratory techniques essential for research. This training will aid me with the necessary skills undertake a small independent project within the lab focusing on a specific area of epigenetics and epitranscriptomics in cancer.

background

I am currently undertaking a BSc Medical Sciences with a Professional Training Year at the University of Exeter. My optional modules have helped tailor my degree towards the mechanisms of cancer and understanding its impact on cells and cellular processes.

I grew up in Oxford and have been aware of the amazing research facilities here my whole life. Therefore, it has always been an aspiration of mine to contribute to this, and I am just at the beginning of my journey in research.
