Research Interests
Some incurable pediatric brain tumors are caused by combinatorial mutations in chromatin regulators and Histone variants, implying their synergistic effects in driving the malignant status. I’m interested in understanding how those mutations work together and identifying novel cancer vulnerabilities by genetic screening.
Background
I received my BS in Biology at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2015. I earned my PhD at the University of California San Diego under the mentorship of Dr. Bing Ren, where I studied insulators and genome folding in mammalian cells. Outside of the lab, I like rock climbing, playing table tennis, and badminton.
