Imaging Assistant

Professional Services role

As the Imaging Assistant in the core imaging facility, my role is to assist users with the state-of-the-art imaging instruments available here at the Ludwig Cancer Research Institute. I also assist in maintaining systems to ensure continuous availability to staff and students.

Background

I did my BSc. in Biological Sciences at National University of Ireland Maynooth where I took a particular interest in molecular parasitology and differential gene expression in African trypanosomes. I then undertook a MSc. In Imaging and Microscopy focussing on fluorescence and electron microscopy.

Outside of academia I have an interest in 3d design and printing which hopefully I can be use to augment the workflows and facilities that are on offer at the Ludwig.
