We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to join the team reporting to the Laboratory Manager at Oxford Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Nuffield Department of Medicine.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and daily running of the Supply Centre Management Systems; ordering, receipting, processing, storage and distribution of items. You will be the first point of call for laboratory staff in need of assistance and the department contact for invoice queries from the accounts office and suppliers. You will perform troubleshooting and maintenance of assigned laboratory equipment and, with the Laboratory Manger, liaise with engineers. You will manage the allocation and cleaning of laboratory coats and issuing of staff locker keys.
It is essential that you are educated to degree level or equivalent in a biological subject with a recent lab support experience in a life sciences environment and maintaining of laboratory equipment. You will be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload under pressure and meet deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge and experience of handling open source radio nucleotides is highly desirable.
Whilst this role is a Grade 6 position, we would be willing to consider less experienced candidates who might be suitable for the role with adjusted duties to then be offered as an under fill at Grade 5: £28,759 – £33,966 per annum.
