Research Interests
Cutaneous melanoma and acral melanoma are two types of melanomas that develop at distinct body parts. Previously, the lab has revealed the intrinsic molecular mechanisms between the anatomic position and the oncogenic specificity in cutaneous versus acral melanoma. However, the roles of tumour microenvironment (TME) at different anatomic sites remain unclear. In my project, I am going to study the cell-cell interactions between melanoma and TME cells regarding their anatomic positions using zebrafish and human cell line models.
Background
Before I joined Richard White’s lab at Ludwig Institute, I completed my BSc in Biochemistry at University College London and MSc in Modelling for Global Health at University of Oxford. My master’s project focused on studying antimalarial drug resistance in P.falciparum malaria using mathematical modelling.
