Research interests

5-Methylcytosine (5mC) in DNA is an important epigenetic modification that is involved in diverse biological processes ranging from development to disease. With the recently developed bisulphite-free technology TAPS, it’s very promising that we could profile methylation signatures in cell-free DNA and other low-input samples. I’m very interested in utilising this latest technique to explore biomarkers for early cancer detection.
