research interests

RNA methylation is a pivotal post-transcriptional modification that influences gene expression, RNA stability, and various cellular processes. Its dysregulation has been implicated in tumorigenesis and cancer progression. My research focuses on elucidating the biological role of RNA methylases in cancer biology. Additionally, I aim to identify potential therapeutic compounds that target these enzymes, paving the way for novel cancer treatment strategies.

background

Before my DPhil at Oxford, I studied in a Medical Doctor training programme of Fudan University, Shanghai. From 2018 to 2022, I worked in Prof. Yunlong Yang’s lab focusing on translational research on tumour vascular biology and tumour metastases. At the end of 2022, I moved into the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, where I explored the optimisation of surgical treatment in non-small cell lung cancer.
