Each year, Ludwig Cancer Research highlights a selection of exciting research discoveries made by Ludwig researchers. In this year’s report, Ludwig Oxford’s Dr Chunxiao Song describes his early research career and the challenges of both switching countries and research fields. He explains how he is applying his fascination with chemistry to solving biological problems such as the new method he has developed called TAPS to detect methylated DNA bases in the genome and the promise of this technology for early detection and monitoring of cancer via liquid biopsies.
