Ludwig Oxford and the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics are searching for a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with a PhD in a relevant discipline, to develop and enhance experimental colorectal tumour models to assess the interaction between the tumour epithelium, tumour stroma, infiltrating immune cells and tumour pathogens. You will focus on establishing and using syngeneic orthotopic xenograft models and experience in this area would be desirable. You will look at the role of the tumour microenvironment and intestinal pathogens, to identify novel insights into cancer initiation and test new cancer therapeutic strategies. The position is based in the labs of Prof Xin Lu and Prof Simon Leedham.

Experience of maintaining mouse colonies, cell culture and of standard molecular and cell biology techniques, and a personal home office license (or equivalent) is essential.
