Professional Services Role
I work as the Institute Sample Manager and am currently managing the organisation, storage and transfer of clinical trial samples from the John Radcliffe Hospital over to the Ludwig Institute. I am setting up a system for management and storage of samples both physically, and electronically. I also help the Lab Support team, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the labs, following Good Laboratory Practice and Health and Safety regulations.
Background
Prior to my current role, I was working as a Research Assistant in a serology lab at the John Radcliffe Hospital, as part of the large-scale ONS led COVID-19 Serology Antibody Detection study, using liquid-handling automation. I have also worked in molecular biology labs as a Research Technician at the University of Birmingham and the University of Manchester, and as a Research Intern at Newcastle University, where I completed my Undergraduate and Masters studies.
