Grade 6: Salary in the range of £29,614 - £35,326 per annum. Apply by 12th July 2022.

We are seeking to appoint an Imaging Assistant to join the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, at the Nuffield Department of Medicine.

You will be responsible for assisting the Imaging Manager in managing the Institute's Light Microscopy Facility and you will provide assistance and training in the correct use of the equipment and in advanced techniques for students and other researchers. You will maintain a library of training material for all microscopy-related equipment in the institute, and you will assist users with results and data analysis, maintaining a stock of microscopic consumables, and updating imaging and laboratory equipment and software as required.

It is essential that you hold a degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related discipline, together with knowledge and experience in microscopy, and experience of molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. You will be computer literate with experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and have excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a support role in a core facility.
