We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer, to help shape and improve communications at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Nuffield Department of Medicine.
 
You will be responsible for writing, editing and proof-reading a diverse range of internal and external media, including: website content and social media posts, news items, newsletters, press releases, promotional materials and presentations. You will ensure timely communication of relevant news items such as publications and awards are made to the wider department. You will collaborate with the branch Events Administrator to support Ludwig events and act as the outreach coordinator for the branch alongside managing the Ludwig Oxford website in conjunction with other members of the Ludwig. Additionally, you will actively participate in the Ludwig EDI committee and assist the science writer and support the team with events.
 
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you are educated to degree level in a life science or have equivalent experience in a science communication role. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be competent using a range of computer based and online applications. You will have proven experience in producing effective web content. Having experience of communicating science to a wide range of audiences is desirable.
